"I had been working with a personal trainer for about two years before Mindful Athletix, but my trainer was not vegan, and we focused primarily on lifting workouts that complemented my running. Nimai's assistant coach, Kiley, brought in a much more holistic view of my plant-based nutrition and psychological health needs, on top of the physical training. Nimai has several bodybuilding titles under his belt - by the end of his first year of competing on the bodybuilding stage, Nimai won several contests, including the NPC USA Championships, which saw him become a Pro card holder with the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB).
Nimai is a firm believer in the saying “you are what you eat.” There is a big correlation between the foods he eats, and the way he looks and feels. For this reason, Nimai places a high emphasis on choosing the right fuel for supporting a strong and healthy body.
Beyond just his physique, Nimai has founded several plant-based enterprises including VeganFitness, Vedge Nutrition and more recently, Mindful Athletix, as well as hosting a podcast interviewing plant-based athletes and advocates: Generation V, in addition to hosting fitness and lifestyle retreats around the world.
